Pauline Barmby

2024 Fallona Interdisciplinary Science Prize winner
Professor and Department Chair of Physics and Astronomy

Pauline Barmby is a leading researcher in the field of astrophysics, focusing on the study of galaxies and their formation. She brings a wealth of experience and insight into the significance of interdisciplinary approaches in scientific research.

 

Student Presentations

Three Âé¶¹´«Ã½ Science students will have the opportunity to share their interdisciplinary research project. The best presenter will receive a prize of $750 to support their academic studies.

This opportunity is open to Undergraduate and Graduate students who are currently enrolled in a science program at Western. Interested students are invited to submit a 60-second video summarizing their research using lay language to science@uwo.ca  by 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, November 17. The Dean’s office will reach out to those selected as presenters by November 22. You must be available on December 3 from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. to participate.
